Review Rating: 3.8/5 stars
I love this movie. I think I have watched this more than a million times. Meryl Streep is such a great actress, Anne Hathaway is sooo beautiful, and the clothes in this movie was just soooo ME.
The only thing I didn’t like in this movie was the male interest of Anne Hathaway, who also happens to be her boyfriend. The guy is just soooo ugly and horrible looking. For Anne, who is this white, pretty and tall person, to be with a curly haired, somewhat dark, short and hairy faced person? NO WAY. I am not discriminating in anyway…I could have given the movie 5/5 stars if they just made the male lead more “appropriate”.
This movie tells a story of Andrea who works for Miranda Priestly. Miranda happens to be the editor-in-chief of Runway magazine, and lasting a job from her for a year, people said you can land a job…anywhere! Andrea wants to be a writer one day, and she believes that surviving as Miranda’s PA, she will land in a nice paper company where she can finally do some writing. At first, she hated her job, and the job hated her. Runway and Miranda was all about fashion, clothes, style and matching. And that was soooo not her. But with the help of a coworker named Nigel, Andrea was able to get clothes and dress more appropriately. As time passed, she was able to conquer her job, and even love and care for Miranda, even if she is one hell of a woman.
This movie is just great. It makes me love writing and fashion more. Just let Andrea’s BF STAY AWAY. I MEAN IT. That’s all!
